It's not often that a model emerges dripping with the air of a super and subsequently viewed as close as any 16-year-old can get to being one. However, it's not surprising that Kaia Gerber has effortlessly captured the industry’s attention in her first season considering she’s inherited the DNA of an original supermodel in addition to a pounding runway walk that holds its own among the greats.
With much hype around the newest generation of models on the rise, Kaia is hands-down the leader of the legion. To date, Kaia has covered fashion's esoteric publications including Love and Pop as well as venerable titles including Teen Vogue and Vogue Paris shot by Mario Testino. The spitting image of Cindy Crawford, Kaia shares her mother's flowing, brunette tresses and stormy stare, features that continue to win her the adoration of all. She has sat for celebrated photographers including Patrick Demarchelier and David Sims and appeared in editorials for British, American and Italian Vogue; Interview, Self Service, CR Fashion Book and more. Advertising credits include Hudson Jeans, Miu Miu and Alexander Wang. Most notably, Kaia has fronted the campaigns for Marc Jacob's Beauty and the brand's Daisy fragrance since 2016.
Most recently, Kaia made her fashion week debut for the spring/summer 2018 season proving that quantity and quality are not mutually exclusive. She walked for Calvin Klein, Coach, Marc Jacobs, Burberry, Alexander Wang (opened), Saint Laurent, Versace, Moschino and Prada as well as Fendi and Chanel – inducting her into Karl Lagerfeld’s cultivated group of model muses.
One thing is for sure, Kaia is forging her own path in fashion's new landscape ripe with social media and a hunger for what's next on the horizon.
