Chase Hill may have first stepped onto the scene via the prominence of his older sisters, Taylor and Mackinely Hill, but the up-and-coming star is quickly giving his siblings' casted shadow the slip – whether he knows it or not.
Chase never planned on becoming a model. He happily left the beauty shots to his sisters, preferring to snowboard with friends and toy with behind the lens work. Born and bred in Colorado, Chase and his family spent time between their suburban home and the nearby mountains. Frequent stays in snowy terrain led to Chase's first bout with a snowboard at 4-years-old. While boarding was a family affair, Chase is confident they would agree he's the most skilled of the bunch. His passion for snowboarding quickly developed and Chase went on to compete in seven national championships, ranking in the top percentile for several events.
When he was 17-years-old, his sisters already out of the house and rising in the model ranks, Chase's mother received an email inquiry about signing the then high-schooler, but Chase wasn't sure about the new venture. The creative teen favored the freedom of the outdoors over big cities and was much more comfortable making video edits rather than being the subject of the work. But never one to turn down a great opportunity, he careered forward – a move that has proved extremely worthwhile.
Chase joined his sisters at IMG and quickly scored a gig starring in a Saks Fifth Avenue lookbook highlighting athletes. His big break came courtesy of Dolce & Gabbana when he hit the runway in Milan (for the first time) for the brand's millennial and influencer heavy show. Most recently, he starred alongside Mackinley in a garden-themed editorial for Elle Italia. Chase says it took time to adjust to being in front of the camera, but one look at his piercing blue eyes accenting every Instagram shot proves he's truly being modest.
Taking an outside look at all that he's done so far, Chase thinks fondly on the inside joke he shares with his sisters "how did we get here?" that pokes fun at the model family's colossal success. But all jokes aside, Chase no longer feels like a stranger to fashion. Moving forward, the avid painter looks ahead to more collaborative projects with his sisters turned best friends. He also hopes to work with iconic skate brands like Supreme and, eventually, make his way to the cover of Vogue.
