Deon Bray began her nearly two-decade-long career (and counting) in modeling fresh off high school graduation. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, the former, gangly cheerleader and homecoming queen briefly attended Georgia State University as a psychology major before deciding to pursue modeling full-time. The risk proved worthwhile. Deon soon made her way to New York where her course quickly took remarkable strides.
Deon made her runway debut in Paris walking for Chanel which catapulted her to the pages of the most revered publications and runways including Versace, Dior, Givenchy, Azzedine Alaia and Oscar de la Renta among others. She has sat for photographers such as Ellen Von Unwerth, Theirry Le Goues, Arthur Elgot and Albert Watson and appeared in issues of American, Italian, British and German Vogues; Elle, Allure, Cosmopolitan, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire and Glamour. Iconic images of Deon appear in the coffee table books: "On the Edge: Images from 100 Years of Vogue" by Vogue Editors, "Couple" by Ellen Von Unwerth and "Absolut Book" by Richard W. Lewis.
The enduring model has also transformed her parallel passions into careers. With a love for photography and a Certificate in Interior Design from Parson School of Design, Deon started the photography and event planning company Bebe & Jules – named after her two children who also model. In addition to songwriting and pursuing opportunities in television show development, Deon spends her off-duty days indulging in her curiosity and raising her two kids in New York.
