Elza was first noticed by a scout in her Netherlands hometown Amersfoort. While still completing her high school studies, Elza embarked on a journey of a lifetime. Shortly after meeting with a prominent casting director Elza became a Prada exclusive during the fall/winter 2012 season – her first bout with runway shows. The following fashion week for Elza included Balenciaga, Ann Demeulemeester, Giambattista Valli, Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Alexander McQueen and Miu Miu. She went on to walk for virtually every top design house within her breakout year including Chanel, Lanvin, Proenza Schouler, Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, Rodarte, Acne, Kenzo, and Loewe to name only a handful.
An outstanding first stretch with fashion's most career-shaping shows led to Prada and Solo Versace campaigns as well as editorial features in multiple international editions of Vogue (American, Australian, China, Japan, Netherlands and Turkey), POP, Numero, Another, Elle, V and Dazed.
Before long, Elza decided to take a break from a burgeoning calling to devote time to her growth and education. Though she says the decision was one of the most difficult she's made. Elza attended college and looking to expand her artistic range in the industry took acting workshops in L.A. before returning to the fashion industry.
Now in a fiery return to her first love, Elza is passionate about pursuing modeling healthily and with purpose. She revels in the industry changes that have given models a voice and is eager to get involved with organizations that similarly empower young women. In addition, the tri-lingual beauty is working on her first business venture while staying focused on what matters to the common good and the planet.
