British/Jamaican Jess grew up in Exeter, Devon but was scouted in Portland whilst on her university semester break during her English Literature studies at Goldsmiths. An accomplished young writer, her work encompasses a sensitive yet powerful portrayal of what it means to be a BAME woman in Britain and beyond, today.
Jess is renowned for her enigmatic ability to shift seamlessly into character on set with unparalleled energy & confidence. Jess has worked with iconic photographers such as Tim Walker, Collier Schorr, Juergen Teller, Craig McDean, Alasdair McLellan, Viviane Sassen & Josh Olins. In addition to fronting campaigns for Celine, Mugler, Burberry and more, she has modelled for American, British, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Ukrainian, Korean titles of Vogue; in addition to POP, i-D, Self Service, DUST and DAZED Magazine.
Reflections of her experience as not just a model, but also through documenting cultural & social barriers and shifts have been published by The Guardian, System Magazine, DAZED & T Magazine Spain to name a few. Jess recently made the transatlantic move to NYC and is based in Brooklyn.
