Malmo, Sweden native Julia Hafstrom began her career at age sixteen. In 2008, she signed with IMG Models and made her runway debut at Prada. She also walked for Miu Miu, and received her big break as the newest face of Prada, photographed by Steven Meisel. The noted lensman also photographed her for Vogue Italia, Hafstrom's first-ever magazine cover.
In addition to the aforementioned, select covers include Vogue Turkey, Dazed, and A Perfect Guide. Hafstrom has also appeared in several issues of the international editions of Interview, V, i-D, 10, and Bon magazines.
Hafstrom has fronted promotions for Ralph Lauren, J. Crew, Uniqlo, MAC, Esprit, and perhaps most notably, as the face of Tommy Hilfiger for five consecutive seasons, photographed by Craig McDean and styled by Karl Templar.
During the Fall/Winter 2014 season, Hafstrom was an exclusive for Louis Vuitton, the inaugural collection from the storied Parisian design house's new Creative Director, Nicolas Ghesquière. Most recently, she appeared in the prêt-à-porter collections of Prada, Vuitton and Christian Dior, among others, and was named one of the Top Six Runway Standouts of the season by James Scully and Daily Front Row.
