Albany, New York native Marquita Pring began modeling at age fifteen. The fashion industry first took notice of Pring’s most distinctive features—all enviable tresses and a retro, womanly silhouette—in 2010 after she appeared in Solve Sundsbo’s “Curves Ahead” V magazine editorial. ... MORE
Pring’s viability as a mainstream, top-ranking fashion model truly skyrocketed upon walking Jean Paul Gaultier’s Spring 2011 runway collection in Paris, France. Shortly thereafter, as a result of her remarkable ability to break barriers and shatter preconceived notions of beauty, Pring was cast as the face of Levi Strauss & Co. for two consecutive seasons.
Pring’s career-changing, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity came in the form of a Steven Meisel-lensed portfolio for Vogue Italia, arguably one of the most noteworthy fashion photography series of 2011. In addition to print and television features for Levi’s, Polo, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, and, Lane Bryant, Pring also frequently collaborates with Talbots, DressBarn, Mark & Spencer, Simply Be, Sheego Schwab Versand, Persona, and Evans UK. Most recently, she appeared in a lingerie-themed editorial feature for Vogue.com photographed by Cass Bird.
Pring holds a keen interest in the performing arts and is quickly becoming a triple-threat with great crossover potential as a model-actor-singer. She’s also an avid athlete and enjoys synchronized swimming, figure skating, running track, and playing soccer, field hockey, and basketball.
