Miranda Kerr continues her rise as one of the world's most in-demand and influential faces in fashion and beyond with a multi-faceted career that spans across health, homewares, beauty, skincare and fragrance. With a social media influence that reaches an excess of 23 million followers and fans, Miranda is an authentic voice and role model bringing recognition, credibility, and appeal to those she chooses to work with.
Miranda was born and raised in the small country town of Gunnedah, NSW, Australia. Surrounded by family, farmland and wilderness, Miranda’s love for nature and organic living became an intrinsic part of her life from a very young age. Miranda’s introduction to modeling came unexpectedly at age 13 when her friend entered her in the 1997 Dolly Magazine modeling competition that she subsequently won. Her victory sparked significant media attention and she soon became the most sought after new face, though she waited to begin modeling full time until after she finished high school. Following high school, she went on to study her passion of Nutrition and Health Psychology at the Academy of Natural Living. With her studies complete she was then able to focus on her modeling career and it wasn’t long before she relocated to New York to embark on the international scene.
Miranda’s celebrated career has consisted of high profile runway shows, fashion and beauty shoots as well as advertising in television, print and billboard. In 2008, lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret signed Miranda as an Angel, making her the first and only Australian model ever to hold the coveted title. Miranda was then selected to model the iconic Fantasy Treasure Bra, worth $2.5 million, at the 2011 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Miranda has walked for esteemed designers such as Balenciaga, Stella McCartney, Miu Miu, Lanvin, Chanel, Prada, Christian Dior, John Galliano and Loewe. Miranda has also appeared in international luxury campaigns for Prada, Jil Sander, Bally, Swarovski and most recently Givenchy.
Miranda graced the iconic 3D cover of Italian Vogue shot by Steven Meisel and has appeared on the cover of numerous international editions of Vogue (American, British, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Australian and Korean), Elle, Harper’s BAZAAR, Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire. Other select titles include V, i-D, Jalouse and LOVE among others. She’s previously and continues to work with the industry’s most renowned photographers including Steven Meisel, Mario Testino, Greg Kadel, Inez and Vinoodh, Patrick Demarchelier and Peter Lindbergh.
In 2009, Miranda founded KORA Organics, a certified organic skin care company that is a favorite of beauty editors, models and consumers alike. In September 2010, Miranda released her debut book, Treasure Yourself, with an aim to encourage young women to embrace their individuality and listen to their hearts. Treasure Yourself hit the best sellers list in Australia and has since been translated into nine different languages. In September 2011, Treasure Yourself was selected as one of the top 50 books in Australia under the Australian Governments "Get Reading Initiative" program. Miranda’s highly anticipated second book, Empower Yourself was released in December 2013.
