Writer turned Pat McGrath muse and cultural phenomenon, Paloma Elsesser, claims her big break came about when she was hand-selected by the beauty maven for the first ever Pat Mcgrath Labs makeup line.
Raised in L.A., Paloma grew up attending a private school where there was no representation of her body type or cultural background. She moved to New York on the heels of her 18th birthday and brazenly points to this moment as the point of her true upbringing. While studying literature and psychology at The New School and waitressing at cool-kid hangout and Jamaican restaurant, Miss Lily's, Paloma's modeling path began to take form. After fronting the unlimited collection launch of Pat McGrath's namesake line, Paloma also starred in advertising campaigns for Fenty Beauty, Glossier, Nike, ASOS and H&M. Select editorial credits include Allure, Elle, Teen Vogue, i-D, CR Fashion Book, and Glamour as well as multiple appearances in Vogue's online and print issues. Most recently, the glowing beauty served as i-D's cover star and she made her runway debut for Eckhaus Latta's SS18 and FW18 shows.Off-duty, Paloma continues to document her effortless, downtown style via Instagram and is open about her personal mental health journey. She is also a proud member of International Girl Crew, a collective of women traveling and supporting one another, that recently released a collaborative sneaker design with Nike iD.
