Seattle, Washington native Tara Lynn was discovered at an open call in her hometown, and she received her big break courtesy of a V Magazine “Curves Ahead” editorial feature photographed by Sølve Sundsbø. Fashion’s elite took notice of Tara almost immediately, and she landed a 22-page spread and the cover of Elle France.
Steven Meisel photographed her for the cover of Vogue Italia, and she also appeared two additional covers of the international editions of Elle (Spain and France) by Xavi Gordo and Marcin Tiszka respectively.
Select credits also include features in CR Fashion Book by Tom Ford, L’Officiel Hommes by Olivier Zahm, in addition to Document Journal, D La Republica, The Times Magazine, and the international editions of Glamour, and Vanity Fair. Most recently, Tara appeared in advertisements for Forever 21, H&M and Lucky Brand. Cass Bird photographed her for a lingerie-themed editorial feature for Vogue.com.
Off-duty, the budding linguist (she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Washington) enjoys practicing phonology, sociolects, and pragmatics, and studying French. She is also a classically trained vocalist and takes private voice lessons in her spare time.
Fun facts: She once spent an entire year barefoot, and cites cycling as her favorite mode of transport.
